![]() Powerups support these special properties in addition to the basic inventory properties: Currently, there is no way in DECORATE to create completely new powerups, but some powerups, such as Protection and Morph are explicitly designed so that you can subclass them to a limited extent. Note that powerup is an abstract class - you do not give the player a generic powerup item, rather the associated powerup giver must give one of the predefined subclasses of powerup, such as IronFeet or WeaponLevel2. (All standard HUDs will place it in the upper-right corner.) If a powerup has an Inventory.Icon property, this icon is displayed on the HUD while the power is active. If a powerup has the INVENTORY.HUBPOWER flag, it stays active when moving between levels within a hub. If a negative duration is given to a powerup subclass, it will be the amount of seconds the power stays active. In the same way, the word "powerup" has traditionally been used for all kinds of artifacts in the game, but some of them are not actually true powerups nor powerup givers for example in Doom, the soulsphere is actually a very powerful form of the health bonus item and the gained health is just normal health however, the iron feet power that the radiation suit gives is a true powerup, because the effect lasts over a period of time and stays with the player until it is exhausted. For example in Doom, the radiation suit is a powerup giver and is not itself a powerup instead it gives a power, in this case, protection from radiation, whimsically named the " iron feet" powerup by the programmers who made the game. In this context, the word "powerup" refers to the power itself, not to the PowerupGiver item that you pick up in order to get the power. warehouse floor), which makes it more difficult to locate and make available immediately for pick up.Powerups are internal classes that are placed in the player's inventory to tell the game that the player possesses a power. Depending on item, it's possible that it can get restocked into a holding trailer (vs. Likely best to call ahead to ensure that the item is available for pick up before heading to the site. Sometimes personnel will rescan/update status to 'At facility' once it gets re-stocked. This triggers an 'Out for delivery' status update.īut when that package doesn't make it onto a van that day, it gets re-stocked. Often an item gets scanned when the vans are preparing to load their daily deliveries. The local delivery vans only accommodate a certain number of the big items per daily delivery. The Newark rep said a few things that might be helpful reference, particularly if your item is heavy/bulky. ![]() I was able to arrange to pick up my item at the Newark location, after calling to verify availability for pick up with the front desk. I'm experiencing a similar delay with my delivery, a heavy/bulky item, along with similar run around trying to resolve it with FedEx customer service. Thanks for posting the front desk phone number for this facility. At this point I guess I'll just wait it out and have the seller intervene if nothing happens after another week.ĮDIT 2: My package finally made it onto a trailer today and was delivered to a FedEx store where I was able to pick it up no problem. Don't know why the fuck their tracking system can't just tell me that rather than having me think it's arriving "today" indefinitely. Unfortunately in my case, my package is still on an undocked trailer with 1,200 other packages, so they couldn't do anything. When I got there, they weren't allowing customers in and said you need to call the front desk phone number (51) and they'll bring it to you. Has anyone tried just going there and picking up their package themselves? Did it work?ĮDIT: So I decided to yolo it and just go to the facility. Answers have ranged from "that hub isn't customer facing it's a warehouse" to "they are overloaded right now and aren't at the front desk" or just ignoring the question completely with "sir, we can assure you it will be delivered by end of day!" I'm getting the impression that customer service doesn't actually know anything, but are told to just discourage customers from coming in person. They always avoid answering my question as to whether just driving there and picking it up myself is possible (I only live about 20 minutes away). I've been calling customer support every afternoon trying to get it moving. Every day tracking updates in the morning with "Arrived at FedEx location" with delivery date updated to today. My package has been stuck at the Newark, CA hub since September 29th.
